Just received two $50 each Morton's Gift Cards that I ordered through Amazon. I actually received them the day after I ordered them--so thanks for that. I admit to being worried about the few bad reviews I read that stated the cards they purchased were bogus and declined at Morton's. So when I got them I did the "scratch thing" on the back of the card to expose the card number, and then I called the "gift card balance" phone number listed on the back of the card, and even talked to a real person--to verify the card balances. They are good. So unless I get a bad surprise from the person I purchased these for, for her August birthday, I think I'm as covered as I can be by pre-verifying the balances on the cards. Ordering gift cards this way is convenient. Morton's is not close to where I live, plus I couldn't find the gift cards at a few stores that I visited. That's why I did this through Amazon. But I really hope that if you purchase a card this way through Amazon, scratch and expose the card numbers and call to ensure validity. It is better for you to verify the cards so if they are bogus, then troubleshoot a problem through Amazon rather than put the gift recipient or yourself through an embarrassing and/or frustrating situation at Morton's.
